The Central Board of Secondary Education has published the CBSE Class 12 Marking Scheme 2022 for all examinations. The CBSE Class 10th & 12th syllabus for 2021-22 was divided into two parts: Term 1 & Term 2. The CBSE Class 10th & 12th Exam Pattern Term 2 contains subjective/open-ended short answer type/situation-based/case-based questions. Most of the questions in both Term 1 and Term 2 are of objective type.

CBSE Class 10th & 12th Marking Scheme & Weightage Distribution-

As per media reports, with lower-than-expected marks, many students and teachers even are asking for a lower Term 1 weightage. Some are even asking for a 30:70 weightage of CBE Term 1 and Term 2. Many students have reported lower marks in English papers (subject code 301). Many are also unhappy with their marks in other language papers and even theory papers like Business Studies and History. While students are still gathering their marks and assessing their performance, most are now hoping for a 30:70 weightage for Term 1 and Term 2 marks in the final CBSE Result computation. 

CBSE Term 1 Result 2021-22 to have 50% Weightage in 10th and 12th Final Result, No Student to Fail -

CBSE has not clearly defined the weightage criteria for class 12 Term 1 exams 2022 as of now. In the first circular, the board had hinted that the two terms may have equal weightage. This, however, now is uncertain.
In the CBSE Circular dated 11th March 2022, the board has stated that the ‘weightage of Term 1 and Term 2 will be decided at the time of the declaration of Term II result and accordingly, the final performance will be calculated.

No Pass or Fail, Final Result After CBSE Term 2 Exam 

The Board had decided that the Term I result will be released in the form of marks scored by the candidates and that no student who appeared for the examination will be termed as PASS or FAIL. The final result for classes 10, and 12 will be released by CBSE after the Term 2 examinations are over.
